Why we should build wooden skyscrapers

We are not in the business of telling our audience what they should design or build. This speech resonated with us because Michael Green, an Architect from Canada clearly believes his business revolves around the ability to find solutions for his clients and the populous that will be using them.

The solution finding emphasis drew our attention and the way he viewed his role, what he brings to the table and the ongoing search to deliver these wide ranging solutions while building his architectural practice.

One of the most interesting elements was that his use of wood, a material older than civilization itself, can in effect be a solution today and into the future.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now. –Chinese Proverb

Wood is Mother Nature’s fingerprint; would you consider leaving your mark on the built environment and using wood? Do you think there is a future in wooden skyscrapers? Let us know in the comments below.
